Duties
Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on trucks, suv's sedans etc on the road, businesses or at client homes and workplaces.
Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, transmission, suspension, and mechanical systems repair issues accurately
Conduct welding, fabrication, and assembly tasks to repair or modify equipment components as needed
Replace or repair vehicle systems including brakes, shocks & struts, air brakes, HVAC systems, and diesel engines to ensure safety and compliance
Operate power tools and heavy lifting equipment safely while performing maintenance or repairs on various machinery
Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all work performed for compliance and future reference
Assist with tire service, wheel alignments, and suspension adjustments to optimize vehicle performance
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Automotive Service Technician with dealership experience preferred
Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and farm machinery
Skilled in automotive diagnostics and electrical system repair using schematics and diagnostic tools
Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools safely and effectively
Knowledge of hydraulics, air brake systems, transmissions, suspension systems, and diesel engine repair
Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately for complex repairs
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professional conduct during on-site repairs
Valid certifications in heavy truck repair or diesel mechanics are highly desirable; relevant licenses are a plus
