We are seeking an experienced Custom Cabinet Designer to join our team on a Contract basis with the potential to become a permanent full time position. This role focuses on creating high-quality, functional, and aesthetically pleasing custom cabinetry designs for residential and light commercial projects. You will work closely with our Manufacturing, Sales and Installation teams. There is some limited customer interaction during the design revision stage. This position will NOT be responsible for site visits, sales or closing deals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Create detailed custom and factory cabinet designs using Cabinet Design software. Experience with 3-D modeling software and AI design development and modification is a plus.
-Communicate with customers to review and modify drawings to accommodate desired design features.
-Produce accurate designs, shop drawings, 3D renderings, material specifications, and installation details.
-Work with internal management team to ensure final measurements and drawings are accurate; make any design modifications required prior to fabrication and installation.
-Revise designs based on customer feedback and project constraints while maintaining functionality and quality standards.
-Revise designs in collaboration with production team to optimize design function, producibility and aesthetics.
-Maintain organized project files and meet design deadlines.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5 years of professional experience specifically designing custom cabinets.
-Proficiency in Cabinet Design software (required – candidates without a minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience will not be considered).
-Strong understanding of cabinet construction methods, materials, hardware, and finishes.
-General knowledge of standard home improvement practices for kitchen remodels preferred.
-Excellent communication and collaboration skills required.
-Strong attention to detail and time-management abilities.
