Bread and Butter, a family-owned artisan sourdough bakery in Chattanooga, is hiring a Personal & Administrative Assistant to support our owner.
This is a flexible, behind-the-scenes support role — not a management position. You'd help take administrative and personal tasks off the owner's plate so she can focus on leading the bakery: managing inboxes and calendars, keeping projects moving, handling paperwork and errands, and making sure things don't fall through the cracks. The work shifts week to week, so we're looking for someone comfortable wearing multiple hats.
What you'd do:
- Monitor and manage email inboxes; draft and route messages
- Keep a project/task list organized and moving forward
- Manage the calendar and help prioritize
- Handle administrative legwork (invoices, paperwork, ordering support)
Help with personal/life admin and errands
Pitch in where needed in a small-business environment
Who we're looking for:
- Self-motivated and organized, with strong attention to detail
- Tech-savvy — comfortable with Google Workspace and Notion (or a quick learner)
- A good prioritizer who can manage their own workload
- Reliable and discreet
- Prior experience as a personal/executive assistant or in project management is a plus, but not required
Details:
- Part-time to start (~20–25 hrs/week), with a path to full-time for the right person
- Starting at $20/hour, with room to grow based on experience
- In-person, Chattanooga
