I purchased this guitar in late 97 or early 98 from the owner that bought it new. It has been in a smoke free home, climate controlled room and except for a very slight gold tarnish it is near perfect. The Super Eagle doesn't show up for sale very much, especially with a Bigsby vibrato bar. These are made in Kalamazoo MI by the same Gibson guitar craftsmen that decided not to leave home when Gibson moved to Nashville. This is their rendition of the Gibson Super 400. It is an easy player, near perfect in every respect, low action, jazz box extraordinare, country or rockabilly machine as well, thumb pickers dream guitar.
It is a big hollow body, carved spruce top, carved curly maple back, solid curly maple sides, scale length 25-1/2", neck is a very comfortable soft C shape, mother of pearl headstock inlay, Ebony fretboard, 12" fretboard radius, nut material is bone, nut width 1-11/16", original hardshell case. Too many guitars at my age and I can't pick well enough to do this guitar justice. The pics do not capture the beauty of this guitar, And the pickups are very powerful. Do not need help selling. Please, serious inquires only. Cash only, no trades. Great guitar, compare this price with those on Reverb and I am the 2nd owner and have the history.
