I have about fifty violins needing a home. These are for a beginning, serious advancing student, or intermediate to professional player. I am selling 20 of my hand made instruments, all full size with oil varnish and set-up with nice ebony, boxwood, or rosewood fittings.
The hand made violins that I have made range from $2,500 to $4,000. others start at about $400 to $2,100.
All violins have been carefully set-up and are ready to play. Some of the vintage instruments are over 100 years old. I have recently added 1/2 to 3/4 size violins for the young.
I've been making, and repairing violins for over 30 years, and apprenticed with David Morse on the West Coast for about 3 years.
I teach beginning to intermediate violin as well.
Being a player has helped me better understand the requirements for a comfortable, and easy to play set-up. (fingerboard, bridge work, sound-post, nuts, saddles, pegs, cracks and edge re-gluing)
If you would like lessons, or need a repair, violin tonal adjustment, or want to play these instruments, see the contact information above to make an appointment. Or better yet call me at show contact info
. I'm about 25 minutes north from Downtown Chattanooga, and 20 minutes from Ooltewah/Collegedale area.
