Lots to say about this guitar, but here are the bullet points:
--Specs: Old growth Cocobolo back and sides, Adirondack spruce top (potentially and believably a John Arnold top, but that is speculation), Grover tuners
--Built in NC by Ben Maschal before he joined/started the now infamous Pre*War guitars; modeled after Vince Gill's 000-28
--Condition: Perfect setup, very playable, only work done is on the back Cocobolo which has had a few splits over the year, a common occurrence with Cocobolo
1.75" nut width, 2 1/8" string spacing, 25" scale -- Happy to re-measure with photos, since those seem slightly non-standard.
Ameritage case (sweet!). No pickup. New strings.
Warm, round tone. Flatpick or fingerpick, this one’s got it.
I’ll regret selling, but I don’t have much time for guitar lately and need the funds for house projects.
I can take more photos upon request!
Not willing to ship this in the winter. But willing to drive an hour or so out of Chattanooga to meet up.
