About us:
Juvent is a health technology company in Ooltewah. We design and manufacture the Juvent Micro-Impact Platform, a Registered Class I medical device that uses low-magnitude micro-impact to support bone and musculoskeletal health. We've been building here since 2011. We're a small team, and every unit is assembled and calibrated in-house — precision-machined aluminum, aerospace actuators, boards calibrated to within a ten-thousandth of an inch.
We're small, but a tight knit group, and we are here to provide comprehensive training and guidance.
What you'd be doing:
Through-hole and surface-mount soldering, rework, and cable assembly. Operating surface mount machines, bench-top machines and test equipment. Running documented test and calibration procedures and recording results. Observing and documenting processes. Writing up processes clearly enough that someone else can repeat them
What we're looking for:
Some college coursework in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience
Comfort with basic math: units, tolerances, percentages, reading a spec
Legible, honest documentation. If you wrote it down, we should be able to trust it
Most important: the judgment to stop and flag something that reads out of tolerance instead of pushing it through. We can teach soldering. We can't teach this.
Schedule:
Flexible, part-time hours to start. If it's a good fit, there are steady hours available. Paid trial tasks before any ongoing commitment
