Vintage Rand McNally World Globe with Topographical Features - $25 (Harrison)

Labeled "Rand McNally International Globe ". I checked their dating chart and judging by the country names, this one seems to have been made in the late 1970s or early 1980s since Upper Volta has not yet been renamed Burkina Faso (1984) but Zimbabwe is no longer Rhodesia (changed in 1979) and Vietnam is unified (1976); also the copyright on the globe is 1978-1984
It's made of cardboard with the visible seams from the applied paper and spins on a central axis with a gold toned metal base. It's a very streamlined, neutral stand. To spin, you must support with one hand on the base.
In good vintage condition with just a few small scratches at the bottom of the globe and normal signs of use. Please see all photos for condition and details.
This is a great piece of history for a collector, or to be used in household decor.
