Small dogs do horrible in shelters - specifically Miniature Pinschers. They are terrified and tend to "fear" bite. Once they do this-it is a death sentence. The shelters cannot adopt them out. They call on rescuers to help with these dogs and the countless others. Spring means all the puppies will be coming in. To make room for them the adult dogs have to be euthanized.
You can make a huge difference just by taking a small dog into your home. Treat the dog like your own. We will pay ALL the vet bills. When it comes time for adoption - you have full say so.
If you would like to give fostering a try. Go to www.minpinrescue.org and fill out a volunteer application. No experience is necessary. The only requirement is to be a responsible pet owner by having all your pets spayed/neutered.

Below is Blossom. She was left in a shelter with 2 puppies. The pups got adopted but she did not. The shelter had no heat and it was winter so she got deathly ill. We rescued her and the tough little girl survived. She was adopted into a loving home. Isn't she so sweet?
