I have a round .46 carat (a little shy of a half carat) loose diamond. It is a VS2-SI1 in clarity and G-H in color. It was recently given a value of $600 but we were told that $400 would be a fair value to ask for it (will be willing to sacrifice at $300). The appraiser who looked at it said it was a very good stone and once in a setting would make a beautiful piece of jewelry.
