This listing is for an original, full length, unedited version of Walt Disney's Song of the South on a brand new, factory sealed DVD. Song of the South, a 1946 Disney film based on the book by Joel Chandler Harris, has a mixed animation and live actors format. "Uncle Remus" a black slave, told colorful stories about Brer Rabbit, Brer Fox, Brer Bear, and other unforgetable characters. The movie also has the songs, "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Da, Everybody Has A Laughing Place, and more.
Disney received poor publicity years ago from those who felt the film was too racial,and terminated its distribution in the U.S. There are still some copies of this movie out there on VHS, but the DVD's are harder to find...and if you do,most of them are bootlegs. This copy is manufactured and distributed by Buena Vista Entertainment, London, England.
